Michigan Pet Alliance (MPA) is a nonprofit membership association of Michigan’s animal welfare organizations, working together to advocate for the use of industry best practices in Michigan animal shelters, home-based rescue organizations, and all groups and organizations providing services for the well-being of companion animals. MPA sets standards; provides training, education and assistance; and creates a forum for idea exchange and support to colleagues in this compassionate, lifesaving work. Uniting the voices of the animal welfare community, MPA works to affect change in state laws, regulations and local ordinances to improve the care and treatment of companion animals.
